Consumer confidence rises, business falls

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 27 - In June, the Italian consumer confidence index rose from 96.4 to 98.3, while the business confidence index dropped from 95.1 to 94.5, Istat said Thursday.
    The stats agency noted that business confidence showed a third consecutive decline, settling at the lowest value since November 2023.
    The decline is due mainly due to the worsening registered in manufacturing and services.
    In contrast, the consumer confidence index rose for the second month in a row and reached its highest value since February 2022. (ANSA).
