(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 2 - In the first quarter of the year, the
purchasing power of households grew by 3.3% compared to the
previous quarter, Istat said Tuesday.
The stat agency said this was slightly dampened by the increase
in consumer prices (+0.2% was the cyclical change in the
implicit deflator of household consumption).
It added that the recovery in the propensity of households to
save, which had reached its lowest point in the last quarter of
2022, is also continuing: in the first three months of 2024, it
increased by 2.6 percentage points compared to the previous
quarter, reaching 9.5%. (ANSA).
