Italy has highest gas prices in Europe - Arera

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 9 - Italy had the highest gas prices in Europe in 2023, with an average VTP (Virtual Trading Point) price of 42.9 euros per MWh last year, energy authority Arera said in its annual report on Tuesday.
    That compares to 40.5 euro per MWh in the Netherlands and 41 euros in Germany.
    The Authority added that gas prices have fallen significantly after two consecutive mild winters, but remain above the averages from before the price shocks that followed Russia's invasion of Ukraine. (ANSA).
