(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 15 - Italy's public debt moved closer to
the three-trillion-euros mark in May, reaching a record high of
2,918.9 billion euros, the Bank of Italy said on Monday.
The central bank said this was an increase of 13.3 billion euros
on April.
It said the rise was driven by 11.5-billion rise in the public
sector borrowing requirement. (ANSA).
