Industrial turnover down 0.9% in May - ISTAT

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 31 - Industrial turnover in May decreased by 0.9% in value (-0. 4% in volume) on a monthly basis, according to seasonally adjusted estimates released by ISTAT on Wednesday. The national statistics institute reported that on a year-on-year basis, in May the calendar adjusted industry turnover index contracted both in value (-4.8%) and volume (-3.4%), registering a 4.4% decrease in the domestic market (-3.2% in volume) and a 5.5% decline (-3.6% in volume) in the non-domestic market.
    Meanwhile in the services sector turnover increased by 0.9% in value and 1.2% in volume compared to the same month in 2023, ISTAT concluded. (ANSA).
