(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 7 - The government has met al its
commitments with Stellantis on fighting to change the EU's euro
7 car norms and proposing a significant incentives scheme,
Business and Made in Italy Minister Adolfo Urso said after talks
with the carmaker and unions Wednesday.
"(CEO Carlos) Tavares in his meeting here at the ministry in
July 2023 had made two demands: that the government fight for a
change in the Euro 7 regulation in Europe and that it propose a
meaningful incentive plan.
"We did both and no one expected this.
"We have fulfilled our commitments".
Unions said they were concerned about an alleged clash between
the government and the Italo-Franco-American manufacturer amid
Italian production cuts. (ANSA).
