(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 14 - Italian mortgage rates remained
stable at 3.44% in August, the Italian Banking Association (ABI)
said in its monthly report Saturday.
The average rate on new mortgages to households remained stable
at 3.44% in August, unchanged from the previous month when it
had reached the minimum for 19 months, it said. Instead, the
average rate on new lending to businesses, at 5.07%, compared to
5.27% in July.
In general, the dynamics of a decline in market rates is
continuing, ABI said. (ANSA).
