Consumer and business confidence down in October - Istat

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 25 - Both Italian consumer and business confidence have fallen this month, Istat said on Friday.
    The national statistics agency said its consumer-confidence index shrank from 98. 3 to 97.4 in October.
    Its IESI (Istat Economic Sentiment Indicator) business-confidence index decreased from 95.6 to 93.4, taking it to its lowest level since April 2021, Istat said.
    It said the decline in business optimism was driven by a "deterioration in the manufacturing sector and in market services". (ANSA).
