(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 25 - Eni on Friday posted third-quarter
net profit of some 1.2 billion euros.
In the third quarter of 2024, the fuels giant said, the adjusted
net profit of the Eni group was 1.271 billion euros, above
analysts' forecasts.
Proforma adjusted operating profits (EBIT) also exceeded the
consensus, at 3.4 billion, including exploration and production
(3.213 billion) and gas (0.253 billion).
The quarterly EBITs of Enilive and Plenitude (0.317 billion) are
in line with analysts' forecasts.
CEO Claudio Descalzi said the results enabled the group to hike
its buyback to two billion euros.
"We are committed to offering our shareholders competitive
remuneration and, based on the results achieved, the strategic
progress made and considering the forecast of a significant
reduction in the leverage ratio, we announce a further increase
of the 2024 buyback plan to 2 billion", Descalzi said. (ANSA).
