Italy household income grows twice as fast as OECD average

+1% in Q2 compared to +0.4% of organization

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 13 - Real household income in Italy grew twice as fast as the OECD average in the second quarter of 2024, the Paris-based economic club said Wednesday.
    On average, according to a press release, in the countries of the organization it increased by 0. 4%, a sharp slowdown compared to the 1.3% of the previous quarter and compared to a real GDP per capita that grew in the same period by 0.3%.
    Of the 15 countries for which data are available, 8 recorded an increase, while seven recorded a decrease.
    Among the G7 economies, real household income per capita grew in most countries, but contracted in Canada and Germany.
    The United Kingdom and Italy recorded the highest increases, the OECD noted, 1.1% and 1.0% respectively, unchanged compared to the previous quarter. (ANSA).
