FS says cancellations possible at weekend strike

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) rail company said Friday cancellations were possible during this weekend's strike by autonomous trade unions.
    A national strike of the staff of the FS Italiane group has been proclaimed by some autonomous trade unions, from 9 pm Saturday to 9 pm on Sunday 24 November, it recalled.
    "The strike could have a significant impact on rail traffic and lead to total and partial cancellations of Frecce, Intercity and Trenitalia Regional trains", warns FS.
    "The effects, in terms of cancellations and delays, could occur even before and continue beyond the end time of the union protest", the company points out.
    Trenitalia, taking into account "the possible significant repercussions" on the service, invites passengers "to find out before going to the station and, if possible, to reschedule the trip". (ANSA).
