(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 3 - Business and Made in Italy Minister
Adolfo Urso said Tuesday he was confident about the role of
Italy in Stellantis's plans after talks in India Monday with
President John Elkann in the wake of the resignation of CEO
Carlos Tavares.
"In the conversation with John Elkann, the conditions emerged to
be confident in being able to share an Italian plan that sees
our country at the centre of the development of the European
car", he said.
"Now Stellantis also shares the need to review the
decarbonization path", added Urso.
Tavares quit after a board row and amid slumping sales and
uncertainty over the Italo-Franco-US carmaker's plans. (ANSA).
