(ANSA) - Lecce, January 27 - A mafia boss who lost 60
kilograms - about 132 pounds - while in prison was granted house
arrest on Tuesday after claiming jail was hard on his health.
Davide Vadacca, 32, described as an up-and-coming young
leader in the Sacra Corona Unita mafia, had been held in prison
on charges of mafia association and drug dealing.
He had been arrested in October 2013 when he weighed about
130 kilograms, or 287 pounds, and held in custody since then.
