(ANSA) - Rome, February 16 - Residents along Rome's prime
northeastern artery Via Nomentana are offering out their flats
for than 1,000 euros a day to see Daniel Craig thunder past in a
James Bond car chase set to shoot next month, the Daily Mirror
said Monday.
Four days of Rome filming starts March 7 on the 24th Bond
film, Spectre, which features Monica Bellucci, 50, as the oldest
Bond girl yet.
After the chase, Craig will slip into the former residence
of Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, Villa Torlonia, as
villains pursue him down secret tunnels and bunkers built to
protect Il Duce and his family.
Rome authorities have reportedly pocketed a six-figure sum
to shut down some of the Eternal City's most famous streets,
with 800 security guards on hand to accompany residents around
the neighbourhood.
The Mirror interviewed a porter, Giuliano Pintus, who
said: "Everyone in my building is very excited because they have
a fantastic view of the street, and are selling tickets for the
night and inviting friends for big parties.
"They will charge a lot, but at the moment they are trying
to decide how much!"
