(ANSA) - Milan, December 17 - Air pollution levels in Milan continue to exceed legal limits according to the latest report from the regional environmental protections agency ARPA issued Thursday.
The level of fine particulate matter (pm10) ranged from 98 micrograms per cubic metre in Via Verziere to 104 micrograms per cubic metre in the Pascal area, ARPA said. This compares to the legal limit of 50 micrograms per cubic metre.
The latest values continue a trend that has now seen pollution levels in the Lombardy regional capital exceed legal limits for over three weeks. Further, ARPA said the weather forecast for Thursday and Friday "favoured" the build-up and spread of air pollutants.
