(ANSA) - Taormina, April 13 - A medical delegation from the
White House visited Taormina Thursday to look at the facilities
to "cope with possible emergencies" at the G7 next month.
The group was led by Dr Benjamin Barlow, President Donald
Trump's traumatologist, who carried out a recce of San Vincenzo
Hospital accompanied by the head of the Messina provincial
health agency, Gaetano Sirna.
Barlow checked out the ER, the operating theatres, the
haemo-dynamic ward, and the facilities for radiology, CAT scans
and MRI scans.
His final assessment was satisfactory, and the San Vincenzo
passed the test.
Barlow said "the hospital is very nice" and functional.
