(ANSA) - Rome, August 14 - A bear that attacked a hiker in a
northern Italian wood last month was hunted down and killed by
forest rangers at the weekend.
Animal rights groups and politicians protested the killing of
KJ2, who was believed to have been protecting cubs when she hurt
the man on July 22.
ENPA, the national agency for the protection of animals, said
the northern Trentino region was "intolerant".
