(ANSA) - Genoa, October 31 - The head of Italian shipbuilding
association Mario Mattioli said Wednesday their boats would keep
rescuing migrants at sea.
"Our merchant ships will continue to intervene, as they have
done thus far, in the rescue and recovery of the shipwrecked,
but out crews cannot be probed because of this afterwards," he
told an audience including hardline anti-migrant Interior
Minister Matteo Salvini and Transport Minister Danilo Toninelli.
Salvini has stopped NGO ships that rescue migrants from
docking in Italian ports.
