(ANSA) - Rome, May 29 - A new wave of coronavirus infections
is possible this autumn, Higher Health Institute (ISS) President
Silvio Brusaferro said Friday.
He said this was because "the disease, spread by droplets,
can spread more greatly and may get confused with the other
symptomatologies of a respiratory type".
Brusaferro said it was "an objective fact" that "respiratory
infections spread in the autumn".
A similar warning came from the World Health Organization's
special envoy David Nabarro, who said that the coronavirus "has
not disappeared".
Nabarrao said that, with the easing of lockdowns, it is
necessary to prepare for the arrival of "new waves that will
spread quickly".
