(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 8 - The ICU of Bergamo's Papa Giovanni
XXIII Hospital is COVID-free for the first time since the first
coronavirus admittance there on February 23, the hospital said
Wednesday.
The unit had virus patients for a total of 137 days.
Bergamo is among the worst-hit of Italy's COVID-affected
provinces.
The surrounding region of Lombardy has accounted for half of
Italy's 33,500 virus deaths. (ANSA).
