(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 25 - A 68-year-old gynaecologist from Bari
in Puglia has been placed under investigation on suspicion of
raping patients, judicial sources said Thursday.
The man, Giovanni Miniello, was placed under investigation
following a segment on satirical investigative TV show Le Iene
(Reservoir Dogs).
In the segment, Miniello was shown proposing sex to patients as
treatment for the papilloma virus.
Miniello has asked to be struck off amid the blowback from the
show.
The doctor has been formally placed under investigation with
sexual violence. (ANSA).
