(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 18 - COVID-19 Emergency Commissioner
Francesco Figliuolo said Tuesday that 27,475,782 people in Italy
have had a coronavirus-vaccine booster jab, 69.5% of the
population eligible for it.
He said that Italy's vaccination campaign was accelerating with
a daily average of 74,000 first jabs and 524,000 boosters over
the last week.
Figliuolo said Italy was third in the EU and 11th worldwide for
the number of doses given for every 100,000 inhabitants. (ANSA).
