(ANSA) - ROME, APR 11 - A suspect was captured by police
overnight after he allegedly shot a cook in a bar-restaurant in
the centre of the Adriatic city of Pescara, in Abruzzo, sources
said Monday.
The owner of the restaurant said the attack took place after a
row over the waiting time for food, according to the sources.
The 23-year-old victim had surgery and is a serious condition in
hospital.
The suspect is a 29-year-old man who is originally from Abruzzo
but had moved abroad.
He was detained at a service station on the A14 highway as he
tried to get away in a taxi after initially taking refuge with
relatives.
Police seized a semi-automatic pistol from the suspect, sources
