(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 16 - The Italian police website was down
for a few hours Monday after an attack by pro-Russia hackers,
sources said.
The hacking group, Killnet, announced that it had launched a
global attack.
The group last week struck Italian institutional sites including
the Senate and the defence ministry, and tried to take down the
Eurovision Song Contest too.
Police technicians have been working since Sunday night to
restore functionality. (ANSA).
