(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 11 - 'Jihadi Paul', a member of the
British ISIS 'Beatles' fighters extradited from Turkey to London
after serving seven and a half years for terror offences, has
also been charged in the kidnapping of an Italian citizen from
2013 to 2014, legal sources said Thursday.
The 38-year-old militant, whose birth name is Aine Davis, has
been served a 2019 European arrest warrant for abducting
Federico Motka in Syria.
Motka, a member of French NGO Acted, was subjected to inhumane
treatment and torture for over a year.
The Islamist 'Beatles', also including Mohammed Emwazi (Jihadi
John), El Shafee Elsheikh (Jihadi George) and Alexanda Kotey
(Jihadi Ringo), are accused of the abduction and brutal
execution of foreign hostages including Britons Alan Henning and
David Haines and Americans James Wright Foley, Steven Sotloff
and Peter Kassig, all in 2014. (ANSA).
