(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 30 - Defence Minister Lorenzo Guerini told
European Union counterparts at an informal meeting Tuesday that
the EU should train Ukrainians to use EU-donated weapons safely
in their resistance to the Russian invasion of their country.
"We are working to ensure targeted training activities for
Ukrainian personnel to make the use of arms safer," he said.
Guerini reiterated Italy's "unconditional" support for Kyiv.
He recalled Italy's commitment to the Ukrainians, saying that
"despite the government crisis, we have managed to finalize the
fourth aid decree, in line with the priorities expressed by
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov". (ANSA).
