(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 30 - A part of the 'cloud' of leaked gas
from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines is expected to arrive
over Italy on Friday, said Bernardo Gozzini, the director of the
National Research Council's (CNR) Consorzio Lamma environmental
monitoring body.
Gozzini said the forecast was based on data from a report by the
Norwegian Institute for Air Quality (NILU).
A estimated 80,000 tonnes of methane has leaked from the
pipelines.
Gozzini said there was no risk to public health as the gas is
diluted in the atmosphere to a high degree. (ANSA).
