(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 7 - Two well-know Italian trap music rappers, Baby Gang (Zaccaria Mouhib) and Simba La Rue (Lamine Mohamed Saida), were among a number of people arrested on Friday in a joint operation by State and Carabinieri police.
The case regards an attack involving firearms in a Milan area popular for nightlife between June 2 and 3 in which two Senegalese nationals were knee-capped following the theft of a credit card.
The police executed warrants for a total of 11 suspects, including two minors.
All of the suspects are linked to the two artists' entourage.
The Carabinieri also also executed arrest warrants for four people for attempted homicide in relation to a knife attack on Simba La Rue on June 16 in the town of Treviolo.
That attack is thought to have been revenge for an assault on another rapper, Baby Touché, who was beaten and detained in a car for two hours on June 9, with videos of the attack posted on social media. (ANSA).
