(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 24 - Italy is proudly standing with
Ukraine against the Russian invasion, Premier Giorgia Meloni
told the mayor of Lviv, the biggest city in western Ukraine,
during a videolink to the assembly of Italian municipalities
group ANCI in Bergamo on Thursday.
"I want to send an embrace to the mayor of Lviv," Meloni told
the annual congress of Italian mayors.
"The Italian government continues to proudly stand in support of
the Ukrainian cause".
Meloni has staunchly backed the EU and NATO stance on Ukraine
and is set to approve fresh military aid for Kyiv. (ANSA).
