(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 10 - A 55-year-old homeless man who
shoplifted food worth five euros and 20 cents in a Florence
supermarket in 2006 has been sentenced to two months in jail in
Bologna for the event, 17 years later, local media reported
Friday.
The man is currently serving the time in a Bolognese prison
after his conviction became definitive, said Il Resto del
Carlino and La Nazione newspapers.
The man, who has a record for petty crime, never got away with
the food as police soon caught him.
He has been in Bologna's Dozza Prison for a week. (ANSA).
