(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 14 - Italy is set to have a woman at the
helm of the supreme Court of Cassation for the first time after
a committee of the CSM, the judiciary's self-governing body,
unanimously nominated Margherita Cassano for the post on
Tuesday.
The final vote will take place on March 1 before President
Sergio Mattarella.
Cassano will replace Pietro Curzio, who is about to retire.
