(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 22 - Italian institutional websites hacked
by Russian hackers early Wednesday have now been restored,
Italy's cyber agency said Wednesday evening.
The National Cybersecurity Agency - in reference to the cyber
attacks that hit some institutional sites in the morning -
intervened both by pre-alerting the targets and by providing
them with collaborative support for effective damage mitigation
and functional recovery, it said.
The Agency also worked in conjunction with the Postal Police.
To date, the affected sites have been restored and have resumed
normal operation, the agency said.
On the same occasion, the CNA provided suggestions for the
implementation of protection and threat containment measures.
On the website of Csirt Italia, the Agency's Computer Security
Incident Response Team, operational indications for the
management of Ddos attacks are available. (ANSA).
