(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 26 - Hackers carried out an unsuccessful
cyberattack tartgeting the Italian Postal Police and ministries
of the Economy and Transport and Infrastructure, investigators
said Sunday.
Rome's public transport company Atac was, however, hit.
Investigators said it was a denial-of-service (DoS) attack,
which seeks to make a computer network or resources unavailable
to users.
Atac reported "slowdowns and limitations in functionality" to
its website, which it said had however "been mitigated by
countermeasures taken in recent days".
There were reportedly no disruptions to public transport
services. (ANSA).
