(ANSA) - ROME, APR 6 - Ex premier and leader of the
centre-right Forza Italia party Silvio Berlusconi called top
party officials including the Deputy Premier and Foreign
Minister Antonio Tajani on Thursday morning to extend his
greetings and urge maximum commitment in parliament, Forza
Italia said in a statement.
"The country needs us", Berlusconi is reported to have said.
The media mogul and three-times premier is receiving treatment
for a serious blood disorder and related cardiovascular problems
at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan.
"Everyone assured him that they will not fail to be more
careful, loyal and attentive in following his indications,
pending his speedy recovery and return to being the usual
fighter," concluded the statement. (ANSA).
