(ANSA) - ROME, APR 18 - Finance police on Tuesday arrested 21
people on suspicion of criminal association and drug trafficking
and drug dealing in relation to a probe into alleged trafficking
of cocaine between the southern regions of Calabria and Sicily.
Police also seized around 50 kg of cocaine with an estimated
market value of over 4 million euros.
Investigators believe the trafficking ring was led by two
brothers belonging to the Villagrazia / Santa Maria di Gesù
mafia clan in Palermo.
The preliminary investigations judge ordered the seizure of
companies, real estate and movable assets belonging or linked to
the suspects to a value of 1 million euros. (ANSA).
