(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 9 - Four cellphones were delivered by
drone to mafia inmates in a Palermo jail on Monday, media
sources said Tuesday.
Prison officers spotted the drone near the maximum security wing
of Pagliarelli Prison, where several members of Mafia and
Camorra families are being held.
A subsequent search unearthed the phones, wrapped in plastic and
hidden in cell toilets.
The inmates were cited and risk lengthening their jail terms by
1-4 years, judicial sources said. (ANSA).
