(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 20 - Four people are injured after a
helicopter crashed on Saturday at Belricetto di Lugo, in the
province of Ravenna, one of the areas hit hardest by this week's
deadly floods in Emilia Romagna.
The helicopter was engaged in operations to fix power line
faults caused by the extreme weather, sources said.
The injured people were extracted from the aircraft by the fire
brigade and taken away by air ambulance, the sources said.
Th crash took place while the helicopter, which is said to be a
private aircraft belonging to the 'EliOssola' company, attempted
an emergency landing, the sources said.
The Italian authorities have been using helicopters extensively
during the emergency to rescue people stranded by the flood
waters, among other things. (ANSA).
