(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 25 - Italian road deaths rose 9.9% to nine
a day last year, according to a report out Tuesday.
Road accident fatalities numbered some 3,159 in 2022, it said.
This was 0.4% below the pre-pandemic total in 2019, said the
report by national stats agency Istat and the Italian Automobile
Club (ACI).
"Many accidents are due to drivers becoming distracted," the
