(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 19 - A photo of a Sardinian beach voted
Italy's most beautiful earlier this year has been used by the
Hellenic World Greek travel website to allegedly show the
attractions of bathing in Corfu.
The beach at Cala Mariolu, the pearl of the seaside at Baunei in
Sardinia's beautiful Ogliastra district, was posted as a Corfu
beach in what Sardinian authorities called 'identity theft'.
Baunei Mayor Stefano Monni wrote a protest letter to the Greek
website and has said he may hire a lawyer to "protect our
image". (ANSA).
