(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 23 - An Italian plane flying from Sardinia
to Rome was forced to go back to its departure airport after two
kids played up an the mother, instead of calming them down,
quarreled with an air hostess on Monday afternoon, the La Nuova
Sardegna newspaper reported Wednesday.
The protagonist of the incident was a South American tourist who
had spent a holiday in the island's Gallura region, and her two
small children, aged two and four.
The kids refused to put on their seat belts and the member of he
cabin staff tried to insist they should do so, whereupon an
argument reportedly broke out with the mother, the Sardinian
daily reported.
According to an unconfirmed report, the woman threw her phone at
the stewardess.
The tourist denied doing so, saying it had fallen from her
grasp.
Amid the rumpus the pilot decided to fly back to Olbia. (ANSA).
