(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 27 - A 66-year-old Italian man killed his
wife, son and mother-in-law and then took his own life in the
Piedmont city of Alessandria on Wednesday.
The man, who has not yet been named, killed himself in the
garden of the Divine Providence care and rehabilitation
institute in Alessandria, after killing his mother-in-law,
78-year-old Carla Schiffo.
Carabinieri, after the tragedy at the institute, tried to trace
the man's wife and son, discovering that the woman had not gone
to work and that the boy was not at school.
It was at that point that the paramilitary police went to the
family home and, having broken down the door, found the two dead
