(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 28 - A pizzeria in Sicily has got racist comments over the two black pizzaioli it employs, with customers vowing not to return until the establishment gets rid of them.
"I'm not eating your pizza if it's prepared by blacks," said one of the comments posted earlier this month to Gianluca Graci, owner of the "La fuazzeria" pizzeria at Licata, in the province of Agrigento.
Other comments included "I'm not saying they're dirty but just seeing them put their hands in the ingredients turns my stomach" and "you make me feel sick and afraid too".
Graci says he has no intention of parting company with the two young pizza makers, whom he described as "very talented and very hard working".
The incident follows another one at the chic Ginger restaurant at Agrigento where some clients left the eatery after finding out that their food was being prepared by multi award winning Senegalese chef Mareme Cissé. (ANSA).
