(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - A 52-year-old twice convicted man got
out of prison and immediately resumed stalking his ex partner
and daughter near Monza recently, police said after arresting
the man Saturday.
Amid a national wave of femicide and violence against women, the
man was arrested by the police in the province of Monza for
mistreating and stalking his ex-wife and their young daughter.
The woman, who had been separated from the man for years,
suffered persecution and threats for years, but always reported
him, so much so that the man has already been sentenced twice
and was released from prison in 2022, when he resumed tormenting
her.
As soon as he was released from prison, police said, he started
obsessively contacting his ex-wife and making threats against
her.
