(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 19 - A 27-year-old woman, Vanessa Ballan,
is dead after being stabbed to death at the entrance to her home
in the province of Treviso on Tuesday in the latest in an
alarming spate of femicides in Italy.
Police have launched a manhunt for Bujar Fandaj, a 41-year-old
Kosovo national who resides in the nearby town of Altivole.
The victim had previously reported the suspect to police for
stalking, sources said.
The Carabinieri police focused on Fandaj after questioning
Ballan's husband, the sources said.
The husband reportedly found Ballan's body and raised the alarm.
The suspect is thought to have fled on foot. (ANSA).
