'Scuba friar' spreads Good Word on seabed

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 26 - Italy's 'scuba friar' is spreading the Christmas message on seabeds in his native Puglia region.
    Sporting a special neoprene cassock, 60-year-old Father Raffaele Melacarne said "I've just gone back to being a scuba instructor.
    "The important thing is to bring closer to the Lord those who don't frequent oratories and parishes.
    "And so, just like Pope Francis who speaks of an outgoing Church, I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring the Gospel to the lower depths". (ANSA).
