Man seriously hurt by firecracker at Anzio

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - A 28-year-old man was seriously hurt and is in intensive care after being hit by the blast of a huge firecracker thrown by a friend outside a night club at Anzio on the Roman seaside Friday night.
    Carabinieri rushed to the scene and ascertained that shortly before, the young man, while at a party in a club, had gone outdoors and had been accidentally hit by the explosion of the massive firecracker thrown by the careless friend.
    The military carried out an inspection during which some blood traces were found.
    After initial treatment at Anzio's Riuniti hospital, the injured man was rushed to Rome's San Camillo hospital, in a reserved prognosis: he was admitted to intensive care after undergoing surgery.
    Carabinieri have identified the friend who allegedly exploded the firecracker. (ANSA).
