(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 4 - Migrants protested after the suicide
of a 22-year-old inmate of the CPR pre-removal centre in Rome
Sunday, throwing stones at staff there.
There was severe unrest at the Centre for Stay for Repatriation
(CPR) in Ponte Galeria where a 22-year-old man was found dead by
suicide at dawn this morning.
Some guests tried to break down an iron door, threw stones at
the staff and tried to set fire to a car.
The police were on the scene.
Migrant inmates can be held in CPRs for up to 12 months. (ANSA).
