(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 17 - Florence Mayor Dario Nardella on Saturday refused to comment on allegations that two of the construction workers killed in Friday's structural collapse at a supermarket under construction in the Tuscan regional capital were irregular.
"There is an investigation underway and I cannot say anything," said Nardella of the claims that the paperwork pertaining to two victims, both from north Africa, were not in order.
The four construction workers confirmed dead in the collapse are Italian Luigi Coclite, aged 60, 54-year-old Mohamed Toukabri from Tunisia, and Mohamed El Ferhane, 24, and Taoufik Haidar, 45, both from Morocco.
Rescuers are still trying to recover the body of a third Moroccan national, Bouzekri Rachimi aged 56, who is missing feared dead.
The three workers who were injured are all Romanian. (ANSA).
