(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 17 - Florence Mayor Dario Nardella on
Saturday refused to comment on allegations that two of the
construction workers killed in Friday's structural collapse at a
supermarket under construction in the Tuscan regional capital
were irregular.
"There is an investigation underway and I cannot say anything,"
said Nardella of the claims that the paperwork pertaining to two
victims, both from north Africa, were not in order.
The four construction workers confirmed dead in the collapse are
Italian Luigi Coclite, aged 60, 54-year-old Mohamed Toukabri
from Tunisia, and Mohamed El Ferhane, 24, and Taoufik Haidar,
45, both from Morocco.
Rescuers are still trying to recover the body of a third
Moroccan national, Bouzekri Rachimi aged 56, who is missing
feared dead.
The three workers who were injured are all Romanian. (ANSA).
