(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 19 - Rapper and TV personality Fedez is
suing Codacons for alleged slander and defamation after the
consumer group asked the financial police to look into the
companies that manage the his artistic activities, Corriere
della Sera newspaper reported on Monday.
The Codacons request came after Fedez, 34, declared himself to
be without assets.
"For some time now, Codacons has been waging an almost daily
media and judicial campaign" against Fedez "for behavior that is
allegedly lamentable, if not actually criminal," said his
lawyers.
"All the accusations made have proved to be unfounded and are
merely a pretext
to attack him unjustly," they added.
Codacons has also recently filed a number of complains against
Fedez' partner, 36-year-old influencer and businesswoman Chiara
Ferragni, for allegedly falsely profiting from allegedly bogus
charity item sales including a pandoro Christmas cake, a doll
and an Easter egg modelled on her.
Ferragni is now under investigation for alleged fraud and has
been ordered by Italy's competition watchdog to pay a one
million euro fine. (ANSA).
