Work accident near Foggia, 23-year-old worker dies

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 27 - A 23-year-old worker died in an accident at work on the outskirts of Stornara in the Foggia area on Tuesday, the latest death in a spate of fatal workplace accidents in Italy that recently saw five workers die at a Florence supermarket building site.
    According to initial reports, the man was working on the installation of an irrigation system when he was reportedly engulfed and crushed by material accumulated on the edge of the excavation.
    The fire brigade and Carabinieri were on the scene and are carrying out checks to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident. (ANSA).
